Though the 12 maps will become very well-known after spending hours in the game and repetition overall will start to creep in with players, some much sooner than others. It’s a small issue though in my eyes as the core gameplay here feels and looks great and it’s a game that can be enjoyed online with friends and the online community. The harder the difficulty and more waves adding, the crazier it gets. Players looking for a great arcade online shooting experience really need to look no further. Killing Floor 2 is here to please.

Tripwire Interactive brings the FPS back to its most primal level, creating a ludicrous arcade-style bloodbath in an era of deeper, more thoughtful narrative-driven shooters. That approach ultimately proves to be refreshing; while more variety would have pushed the game over the top into 'truly great' territory, what Killing Floor 2 does offer is undeniably visceral entertainment. And while the wave-based action is plenty of fun on its own, the perks system kept me coming back to upgrade my character and face even deadlier threats. This has to be my surprise game of the year. This game is just about flawless. 60 FPS even when there is chaos on screen, great variety of weapons to choose from, good number of maps, awesome gore, a variety of enemies to kill, you can play as the monsters and the periodic slow-mo shots are pretty cool.

This game is like a spiritual successor to Left for Dead 2. This is the game Evolve should have been. I will be playing this game for a long time.

If you like Horde mode type games, pick this up immediately. Since I started playing (around July 17), two bosses have been added, 8 new maps, a few new weapons and modes. And the gameplay itself is very satisfying and can be tweaked to your liking and level with the difficulty and length filters. So I can highly recommend this game to everyone who likes FPS, a bit of gore and great gameplay:). While good (certainly fantastic to everyone who know exactly what to expect), it lack L4D tention, atmosphere, slow paced exploration moments, and most important, its tactical yet simple gameplay. All in all, in particular when it comes to pacing, i would compare it to CoD zombie modes, which i'm not a fan of. Like i said, Killing Floor 2 is still a good game. The controls are responsive, the visuals great, the framerate is surprisingly stable (at least on PS4 Pro) and the amount of enemies and gore on screen provide many epic moments. If it had more maps, modes and the the ability to play singleplayer with bots, i would give KF2 a higher score. It's good, but not great.

Difficulty levels are a huge part of the replayability of the game, enemies get much more agressive, have new moves and variants, andcome in higher quantity. They also have more health, but they don't become bullet spongy, since you also level up and gain more damage.

Versus mode is very much like Left 4 Dead is, if you have ever played that. One team is human, the other is zed, so you can control the Zeds and kill your friends. There is also character and weapon customization.
